Todd Stevens, P.E.

Staunton District Engineer

As Staunton District Engineer, Todd Stevens leads the transportation program for 11 counties within the district, which covers more than 7,000 miles of roads. He will also support highways in seven cities and 27 towns in the region.

Todd has 34 years of experience in highway construction, design and project management. Todd began his career with VDOT’s Engineer Trainee Programs in 1988 where he worked in Central Office and the Fredericksburg District. From there, he transferred to the Northern Virginia District’s Fairfax Residency to support maintenance operations. Todd then became the assistant resident engineer in Verona. In 1998, Todd worked in the private industry as a construction quality control manager and a project manager before returning to VDOT in 2004 as an area construction engineer for the agency’s Staunton District. Since 2011, Todd has served as the district’s construction engineer.

During his time with VDOT, Todd has consistently met on-time and on-budget goals for both design and construction. Todd received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. He holds a professional engineering license in Virginia.
