Effective March 1, 2014 

Fairfax County and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) have agreed through a procedural memorandum to allow supplemental right of way dedication as defined by the VDOT’s Directive MDD 6.02, dated January 11, 2010 to be accepted through VDOT’s land use permit system (LUPS).

The implementation will be effective March 1, 2014 for projects submitted to Fairfax County Bonds and Agreements. Permits submitted to Fairfax County Bonds and Agreements prior to March 1, 2014 will be processed under the current street acceptance process.

 

All street acceptance packages (initial, as-built utility, post construction and final) must be submitted to:
