What's Being Done?
A Public Information Meeting will be held Monday, December 4 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Wise Central High School (5000 Warrior Drive, Norton, VA 24273). Additionally, a survey will be available November 29 - December 15. Click here to access the survey.

A study is underway to address safety concerns located along various segments of U.S. Route 23 beginning at the U.S. Route 23/U.S. Route 58 interchange in the City of Norton to U.S. Route 23/Business Route 23 intersection in Wise.
Study elements would include, but are not limited to:
- How businesses are accessed
- Turn-lane improvements
- Traffic signal synchronization/coordination
- Intersection geometric improvements
- Pedestrian improvements
- Other traffic improvements that address safety and potential congestion issues
