Proposed: 5th Street Station Trail and Hub

Cost and schedule ►

Public outreach ►

This SMART SCALE project will construct a 10-foot-wide shared-use path from Wegmans Way to 5th Street in Albemarle County and the city of Charlottesville. Two bridges are proposed as part of this project. One bridge will cross Moores Creek and the other will cross Biscuit Run. During construction, all reasonable efforts will be made to protect the environment with respect to dust control, siltation and erosion. Stormwater management strategies will be incorporated in this project. Construction is anticipated to take about one year. The public will be notified about traffic impacts and changes through media reports, social media and the 511 Virginia web site and mobile app.
