Proposed: Interstate 64 at Exit 107 Park and Ride Lot
Cost and schedule ►
This project will construct a park and ride lot at the corner of Route 824 (Patterson Mill Lane) and US 250 (Rockfish Gap Turnpike) just south of the I-64 interchange at Exit 107 (Crozet) in Albemarle County.
This SMART SCALE project will include two dozen parking spaces with a bus pull-through, bike racks and a shelter for bus passengers. With this project, improvements will be made at the intersection of Route 250 (Rockfish Gap Turnpike) and Route 824 (Patterson Mill Lane), which involves extending the westbound U.S. 250 left-turn lane at Route 824.
Benefits
This project aligns with Albemarle County's strategy to provide multi-modal transportation options in the region. Park and ride lots encourage commuters to take advantage of ride-sharing opportunities and public transit systems to reduce traffic congestion, thereby improving air quality and quality of life in Albemarle County.
Major Milestones
Construction advertisement is expected in October 2024.
