Cost and schedule ►
This project will widen and replace the superstructures on two bridges on Route 651 (Sumerduck Road). The first is structure 6171 that crosses a stream and the second, structure 6172 (B663) that crosses Rock Run. These are located approximately 0.60 of a mile and 1.07 mile, respectively, southwest of U.S. 17.
The need stems from a history of the rails being hit on all quadrants of these structures. It is intent of this project by modifying the substructure an increase of the width can be obtained. It is anticipated the increase would be widen the clear roadway from approximately 19’ to at least 22’. This will also require and include some minor roadway improvements.
