Recently Completed: Route 1240 (Parkview Drive) Pipe Replacement

VDOT recently completed several drainage pipe replacements in the Artillery Ridge neighborhood on Route 1240 (Parkview Drive) in Spotsylvania County.

VDOT state forces crews removed three deteriorated corrugated metal drainage pipes underneath Parkview Drive, near the intersection with Route 1205 (Artillery Ridge Road).

The pipes were replaced with three concrete drainage pipes that are approximately 40 feet long, with a diameter of 5 feet. The new pipes are approximately the same size as the existing pipes.

Parkview Drive was closed to through traffic during construction, and reopened on August 16, 2022.
