Recently Completed: Route 360 (Richmond Road) and Route 619 (Rich Neck Road/Mulberry Road)
Construction is underway on a project to enhance safety and improve operations at the Route 360 (Richmond Road) intersection with Route 619 (Rich Neck Road/Mulberry Road) in Richmond County.
The project will extend several turn lanes from short taper areas to a full 200-foot length:
- Extends right turn lane from westbound Route 360 to Rich Neck Road
- Extends left turn lane from westbound Route 360 to Mulberry Road
- Extends left turn lane from eastbound Route 360 to Rich Neck Road
During construction, a single eastbound and westbound lane on Route 360 near Rich Neck Road/Mulberry Road are closed. Both lanes will remain closed until work is complete in Nov. 2022.
Benefits
The project is aimed to improve safety and traffic flow in the area, which is near the county’s largest employer, Haynesville Correctional Center.
