This project will widen Route 620 (Harrison Road) between Route 610 (Old Plank Road) and Route 627 (Gordon Road) from two to four lanes with a center turn lane. The project will also add curb and gutter, sidewalks and improvements at each intersection.
It is a revenue-sharing project, with funds from Spotsylvania County being matched with state dollars.
A center turn lane will be built along this widened section of Harrison Road. Additional turn lanes will be built at the intersection with Old Plank Road and Gordon Road.
Sidewalk will be built along this widened section of Harrison Road, and pedestrian crossings will be added at the intersections with Old Plank Road and Gordon Road. The widened section of Harrison Road will have curb and gutter.
Benefits
The project will add capacity to Route 620 (Harrison Road) between Old Plank Road to Gordon Road.
