Construction is complete on a project to improve the Route 30 and Route 360 intersection in King William County.

Work began in July 2020 to expand turn lane capacity to enhance safety and reduce delays at the intersection.

The $1.4 million SMART SCALE project built a dedicated right and left turn lanes for eastbound Route 30 and modified existing turn lanes on Route 360.

On the Route 30 westbound approach, the pavement was re-striped with fresh lane markings to create a left turn lane, through travel lane, and right turn lane.

For pedestrians, the project added crosswalks across Route 30 and Route 360, a pedestrian refuge area on Route 360, and push-button pedestrian crossing signal equipment. Sidewalk was built along the south side of Route 30.
