An aerial image showing proposed safety improvements at Route 58 and Snowden Street, to include permanently closing the existing median on Route 58 and south access at West Military Highway in the vicinity of  Snowden Street.

As part of the proposed safety improvements project, the asphalt pavement in the existing median on Route 58 at West Military Highway and Snowden Street would be removed, and updated pavement markings and signage would be installed. The existing guardrail on Route 58 is to be extended beyond the closed south access, eliminating vehicular access permanently to and from West Military Highway and Snowden Street.

Benefits 

The project seeks to enhance safety at the intersection by permanently closing the existing median on Route 58 and south access at West Military Highway in the vicinity of Snowden Street.
