Description

This STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study is assessing potential operational and safety improvements at the Bryan Park Interchange in the City of Richmond, Virginia.

The I-95 and I-64 interchange in Richmond, Virginia, referred to as the Bryan Park Interchange, is located on the north end of the section of freeway where I-95 and I-64 overlap near downtown Richmond, Virginia. The interchange at Bryan Park faces safety, reliability, and congestion challenges. Recurring congestion and queues spill back from the interchange to the ramp from I-195 NB to I-95 NB, I-95 and I-64 ramps, and Hermitage Rd (VA 161). In addition, the interchange of I-64 EB and US-33 (Staples Mill Rd) is influenced by the Bryan Park Interchange.

Benefits

This study will identify potential operational and safety measures to improve throughput, reduce congestion, and improve reliability and safety in the study area.
