The purpose of the project was to replace the bridge on Indian Oak Road (Route 618) over Deep Creek in Nottoway County. The bridge was first built in 1962, and was reconstructed in 1988.
Benefits
The project replaced the existing structurally deficient timber bridge deck with a prestressed concrete box beam bridge. The structure now features two 9-foot lanes and 2-foot shoulders.
