Transportation Partnership Opportunity Fund

The Transportation Partnership Opportunity Fund was created by Chapter 847 of the 2005 Acts of Assembly and amended by Chapters 546 and 547 of the 2023 Acts of Assembly.  

As provided in §33.2-1529.1 of the Code of Virginia, monies are to be awarded from the fund by the governor as grants, revolving loans, or other financing tools and equity contributions to an agency or political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia to address the transportation aspects of economic development opportunities or to enhance the economic development opportunities of the Commonwealth transportation programs.
