Ferry Information

The Sunnybank Ferry crosses the Little Wicomico River on Route 644 in Northumberland County. It is free.

The ferry can carry a maximum of six passengers and 16 tons. 

Hours

Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. - noon
Closed Sunday

Note

This ferry has one operator. It ceases operation for 30 minutes at midday for the operator lunch break.

Precise times may vary, depending on the demand for service.

Service may also be affected by wind, weather and tides.

Signs leading to the ferry entrance indicate its operational status.

Service may also briefly be halted so the operator can change information on the signs.
