Utilities Design
The Utilities Section within the Hydraulics and Utilities Program Area is responsible for designing and coordinating construction plans (InPlan) and estimates for utility relocations specifically for roadway projects across the Commonwealth.
Utility (InPlans) include a range of water, sewer and gas facility relocations to absolve conflicts with drainage and roadway improvements. The Utility Section works closely with the Roadway Design Sections of Central Office, as well as each respective District’s Roadway Design Team and R/W & Utilities Coordinator/Regional Manager, to minimize utility conflicts.
