BRISTOL – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reports the following conditions in Southwest Virginia:
- Interstates 81 and 77 are clear.
- Scattered snow and ice patches are reported on the majority of highways in Bland and Russell counties.
- The majority of main roads in Grayson County are clear, with exception of scattered snow and ice patches on Routes 16 and 362. Secondary routes are snow-covered.
- In Wythe and Tazewell counties, snow and ice patches are reported on the majority of primary highways and many secondary highways snow covered.
- Primary highways in Wise and Buchanan counties are clear; however, be alert to scattered snow and ice patches on secondary routes.
- Routes in Lee, Scott, Smyth, Washington, and Dickenson counties are clear.
VDOT’s Customer Service Center is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Citizens can dial 1-800-FOR- ROAD (1-800-367-7623) from anywhere in the state to report road hazards, ask transportation questions, or get information related to Virginia’s roads.
