Pipe replacement projects scheduled for two locations in Tazewell County week of September 25
BRISTOL, Va. – Due to two pipe replacement projects in Tazewell County the week of September 25, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is advising motorists to be alert to the following:
- Monday, September 25
A detour will be in place during daylight hours between the intersection of Route 601 (Freestone Valley Road) and Route 766 (Wesley Chapel Church Road). Motorists will use Route 766 to detour during pipe replacement.
- Wednesday, September 27 – Friday, September 29
Route 91 (Witten Valley Road) will be open, however, motorists may experience lengthy delays during daylight hours while two pipes are replaced. Also be alert to temporary steel plates on the road, allowing motorists to pass during the project. (END)
