Route 65 (Scott County) temporary bridge closure scheduled
Bridge replacement, closure scheduled for July 7 - 17, 2023
BRISTOL – A portion of Route 65 in Scott County will be closed July 7–17 to allow for the replacement of the Route 65 bridge over Big Branch with a 12x12-foot box culvert.
During the closure, traffic will detour using Routes 23, 72, and 71. The detour is approximately 39 miles. There are other local routes passenger vehicles can use during the closure; however, these routes are not suitable for box trucks or tractor-trailers.
Pay close attention to signs and message boards warning of the closure. (END)
