NEW ALIGNMENT OF SCHOOL BUS ROAD OPENS SEPT. 15
Route 767 now intersects Route 22/208 at Route 625 (Chalk Level Road)
CULPEPER — The new alignment of Route 767 (School Bus Road) in Louisa County will open to traffic on Wednesday.
The road now intersects Route 22/208 (Davis Highway) at Route 625 (Chalk Level Road). Left and right turn lanes will be added on Route 22/208 at the intersection.
Motorists should expect delays and flagging operations on Route 767 on Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Work will continue along Route 22/208 through mid-December.
Under a $2.6 million construction contract, VDOT contractor Chemung Contracting Corp. of Mitchells is relocating Route 767 to align with Route 625 (Chalk Level Road) across Route 22/208 and making associated safety improvements at the intersection including adding turn lanes and paved shoulders.
