ELTHAM BRIDGE OPENING THIS AFTERNOON
Route 30 traffic will be stopped in both directions at 4:30 p.m. for marine traffic
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – All Route 30 traffic crossing the Eltham Bridge over the Pamunkey River in West Point will be stopped in both directions at 4:30 p.m. today, Oct. 2, for a drawbridge opening.
The drawbridge is opening for marine traffic as required by the United States Coast Guard.
The timing of the opening may vary between 4:30 ₋ 5 p.m. depending on the vessel’s speed.
The bridge is anticipated to be open for approximately 15 minutes.
The Eltham Bridge connects the Town of West Point and New Kent County.
