EXPECT DELAYS FOR PAVING WORK ON ROUTE 614 (HICKORY FORK ROAD) NEXT WEEK IN GLOUCESTER COUNTY
Travelers can expect daytime delays over the next two weeks, beginning Tuesday, May 28
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Paving work will begin next week to improve the ride along a section of Route 614 (Hickory Fork Road) in Gloucester County.
Motorists can expect brief delays on Hickory Fork Road between Ark Road and Belroi Road as crews mill and pave this two-lane road with a new layer of asphalt. Once paving is complete, crews will apply new pavement markings.
Work will begin at noon Tuesday, May 28, due to the Memorial Day holiday travel period. During Wednesday, May 29 through Saturday, June 1, crews will be working between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. Motorists will encounter one-way alternating traffic in the work zone, directed by a flagging crew.
Crews will begin by milling up the existing asphalt on Tuesday through Thursday. Paving work is anticipated to begin on Friday.
Additional daytime paving work will continue at this location during the week of Monday, June 3 through Friday, June 7, weather permitting.
