GUINEA CIRCLE IN GLOUCESTER COUNTY TO CLOSE MONDAY, DEC. 2
Detour will be in place for a one-week pipe replacement project

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 652 (Guinea Circle) in Gloucester County will be closed to through traffic for a pipe replacement project beginning Monday, Dec. 2.

Guinea Circle will be closed for approximately one week. Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will replace deteriorated drainage pipes located in the 4200 block of Guinea Circle to improve roadway drainage in the area.

Motorists are encouraged to follow the posted detour route:

  • Route 653
  • Route 649

Weather permitting, work is expected to be complete on Friday, Dec. 6.

An average of 290 vehicles a day travel on Guinea Circle, according to a recent VDOT traffic count.
