ROUTE 208 (COURTHOUSE ROAD) CLOSED IN SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY
All lanes of Courthouse Road are closed near Massey Road for a vehicle crash; Motorists advised to avoid area and seek alternate routes

9:40 P.M. UPDATE: All lanes of Route 208 (Courthouse Road) have reopened to traffic near Massey Road. Detour routes have been lifted. 

5 P.M. UPDATE: Route 208 (Courthouse Road) in Spotsylvania County remains closed for a crash at Massey Road. Westbound Courthouse Road traffic headed toward the Lake Anna area is being detoured at Brokenburg Road and eastbound Courthouse Road traffic headed toward Fredericksburg is detoured at Lanes Corner Road. Motorists are encouraged to continue avoiding area if possible.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 208 (Courthouse Road) in Spotsylvania County is closed in both directions near the intersection with Massey Road for a vehicle crash.

Motorists should plan to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Massey Road is located between Post Oak Road and Lawyers Road.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are traveling to the crash scene to assist with traffic control.
