CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE HUDGINS ROAD IN SPOTSYLVANIA, JAN. 6 - 10, 2020
Drivers should use Harrison Road as an alternate route during the closure
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Construction activities associated with the construction of new townhomes on Hudgins Road in Spotsylvania County will close a portion of Hudgins Road next week.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has issued a permit to a private developer to close Hudgins Road between Tignor Lane and the entrance to Sheehy Collision Center for construction activities.
Hudgins Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, Jan. 6 through Friday, Jan. 10.
Detour signs will direct drivers to use Harrison Road as an alternate route during the closure of Hudgins Road.
According to the most recent VDOT traffic data, approximately 1,400 vehicles a day use this section of Hudgins Road.
