UPDATE: NEW CSX SCHEDULE FOR RT. 603 (CAISSON ROAD) RAIL REPAIR IN STAFFORD
Caisson Rd. will now be closed with a detour in place from noon Tuesday, March 24 through 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 for a railroad crossing repair
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – CSX has revised its schedule to close Route 603 (Caisson Road) in Stafford County to through traffic to allow railroad crews to perform maintenance work to upgrade the railroad crossing.
Caisson Road will close at the railroad crossing in both directions beginning at noon Tuesday, March 24 and will remain closed until approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 25.
Signs will be posted to guide motorists along the recommended detour:
- Route 3
- Route 601 (Hollywood Farm Road)
Caisson Road carries an average of 440 vehicles a day, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation traffic count.
