UPDATE: CAISSON ROAD REMAINS CLOSED OVERNIGHT FOR RAIL REPAIR IN STAFFORD
Due to inclement weather today, CSX has extended the Route 603 (Caisson Rd.) road closure through noon Thursday, March 26 for a railroad crossing repair
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Due to inclement weather, CSX has extended the closure of Route 603 (Caisson Road) in Stafford County at the railroad crossing through noon Thursday, March 26.
Dry conditions are needed to allow railroad crews to complete maintenance work and paving to upgrade the railroad crossing.
Signs are posted to guide motorists along the recommended detour:
- Route 3
- Route 601 (Hollywood Farm Road)
Caisson Road carries an average of 440 vehicles a day, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation traffic count.
