UPCOMING WORK ZONE ON NORRIS BRIDGE ON FRIDAY, DEC. 17
Between 9 a.m. and noon, Route 3 over the Rappahannock River between Lancaster and Middlesex counties will be reduced to a single lane for bridge maintenance

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 3 travelers can expect brief delays crossing the Robert O. Norris Bridge over the Rappahannock River on Friday, Dec. 17.

Route 3 will be reduced to a single lane on the bridge for several hours, from 9 a.m. to noon, to allow crews to perform routine maintenance work. Automated flagging assistance devices will direct one-way, alternating traffic through the work zone, assisted by a flagging crew.

Lane closures have been scheduled weather permitting. Real-time updates on traffic, lane closures, incidents and work zones are available on 511virginia.org. Travelers can also download the free mobile 511Virginia app, or call 511 from any phone in Virginia.

The Norris Bridge carries Route 3 over the Rappahannock River between Lancaster and Middlesex counties.
