DAYTIME LAWYERS ROAD ACCESS CLOSING AT COURTHOUSE ROAD IN SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY APRIL 10-13
Motorists should follow posted detour along Fenton Road to travel between Courthouse Road and Lawyers Road between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. as crews replace a pipe underneath the road

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – On Monday, April 10, the Virginia Department of Transportation will close daytime access to Route 601 (Lawyers Road) at Route 208 (Courthouse Road) in Spotsylvania County for a three-day pipe replacement project.

The project is expected to be complete by Thursday, April 13, weather permitting.

Travelers seeking to travel to and from Lawyers Road from Courthouse Road should follow a posted detour along Fenton Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Route 208 (Courthouse Road) will remain open in both directions at the Lawyers Road intersection during this work zone.

Crews will be replacing a drainage pipe underneath Lawyers Road.

Message boards will be placed on Wednesday, April 5, to alert motorists to the upcoming road closure next week.
