I-95 NORTHBOUND CLOSED IN SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY
All northbound lanes are blocked with a crash involving multiple vehicles near exit 118 (Thornburg)
5:15 P.M. UPDATE: All northbound lanes now open. Detour on I-95 northbound at exit 110 (Ladysmith) has been lifted.
4:35 P.M. UPDATE: Left lane now open on I-95 northbound near earlier crash scene at mile marker 117 in Spotsylvania County.
3:40 P.M. UPDATE: All I-95 northbound traffic is being detoured to exit 110 (Ladysmith) in Caroline County to Route 1 around crash scene. Local law enforcement is directing traffic on Route 639 (Ladysmith Road) and Route 1 to assist with detour.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Interstate 95 northbound is closed in Spotsylvania County.
All northbound lanes are blocked with a crash involving multiple vehicles near exit 118 (Thornburg).
There is no reopening time available.
I-95 northbound through travelers with destinations beyond northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. area, should use alternate routes to avoid delay.
Drivers are encouraged to use exit 104 (Carmel Church) in Caroline County, and travel on Route 207 eastbound to Route 301 northbound.
