PAVING WORK TO CLOSE I-95 SOUTHBOUND REST AREA AT LADYSMITH OVERNIGHT
Resurfacing of the off-ramp will close the rest area in Caroline County from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on two evenings: Oct. 15-16 and Oct. 17-18

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The I-95 Southbound Ladysmith Safety Rest Area in Caroline County will close overnight for two evenings during the upcoming week for milling and paving of the off-ramp to enter the rest area.

The Southbound Ladysmith Safety Rest Area will be closed:

  • 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15 to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16
  • 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18

The temporary closure is required so crews can safely maneuver equipment and materials along the off-ramp to resurface it and smooth the travel surface.

The I-95 Southbound Ladysmith Rest Area and Welcome Center is located at mile marker 107, south of exit 110 (Ladysmith).

Message boards along I-95 southbound in advance of the rest area will alert travelers to the upcoming closure dates and times.
