ROUTE 17 CLOSED IN GLOUCESTER COUNTY
All northbound and southbound lanes are closed near the Pampa Road intersection for police activity
UPDATE (9:50 p.m.) – All lanes of Route 17 have reopened in Gloucester County, following an earlier closure near Pampa Road for police activity.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 17 is closed in both directions in Gloucester County near the Route 601 (Pampa Road) intersection for police activity.
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are on site assisting with traffic control. Traffic may detour around the Route 17 closure using Route 33 and Route 14 (Buena Vista Road).
Message boards have been posted along Route 17 to alert travelers to the road closure.
Real-time updates on Route 17 will be posted to 511Virginia.org.
