ROUTE 17 AND ROUTE 360 INTERSECTION CLOSED IN TAPPAHANNOCK
Detour in place until traffic signals can be repaired after crash early this morning

Sunday, Feb. 20 UPDATE: The Route 17 and Route 360 intersection in Tappahannock has reopened with temporary traffic signals. The detour has been lifted. Crews closed the intersection early Saturday, Feb. 19 after a crash heavily damaged the traffic signals and poles.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Route 17 and Route 360 intersection in Tappahannock is closed after a crash early this morning damaged the traffic signals and poles.

Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) have set up a detour.

Northbound traffic is being detoured to the following routes:

  • Route 1004 (Water Lane)
  • Route 1008 (Wright Street)

The southbound detour is:

  • Route 652 (Eastern View Road)
  • Route 1001 (Cross Street)
  • Route 1005 (Prince Street)

Message boards and signs are posted to assist drivers with the detour.

The detour will remain in place until repairs can be made to the traffic signals and poles.
