ROUTE 301 SOUTHBOUND CLOSED IN KING GEORGE COUNTY
All southbound traffic is being detoured to Route 206 to Route 3 for emergency tree removal
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 301 southbound is closed near Dahlgren for emergency tree removal.
All Route 301 southbound traffic is being detoured to Route 206 to Route 3 back to Route 301 in King George County.
Crews estimate both southbound lanes on Route 301 will remain closed for several hours.
Travelers can expect delays, if possible, seek alternate routes.
Message boards are posted to alert drivers to the detour.
Crews will reopen Route 301 southbound as soon as the large tree is removed.
Route 301 northbound remains open.
