HAMPTON ROADS WEEKLY LANE CLOSURES REPORT JULY 2-8
Closures on Water Crossings, Interstates, and Other Notable Detours
**VDOT will suspend most highway work zones and lift lane closures on interstates and other major roads in Virginia for Fourth of July holiday travel beginning noon, Monday, July 3, until noon, Wednesday, July 5. Read the statewide Fourth of July travel release here. **
NOTE: This list covers full closures of interstates, ramps, bridges and primary roads, and lane closures at the bridge-tunnels and the Berkley, Coleman, High Rise and James River bridges.
*Scheduled closures are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.*

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, I-64:
- Single-lane closure eastbound July 5 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Mobile, single-lane closure westbound July 5-6 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Elizabeth River Tunnels (Downtown/Midtown Tunnels):
- Go to Elizabeth River Tunnels for maintenance schedules on the Downtown Tunnel (I-264), Midtown Tunnel (U.S. 58) and MLK Expressway (Route 164).
I-64, Southside Widening, High Rise Bridge Expansion:

I-64, Virginia Beach:
- Brief, intermittent stoppages on I-64 in both directions at Indian River Road (exit 286) July 5-6 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. due to utility work by Dominion Energy.
I-264, Portsmouth/Suffolk:
- Single-lane closure with brief, intermittent stoppages on I-264 west between Greenwood Drive (exit 2A) and the Bowers Hill interchange July 5-7 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
