HAMPTON ROADS WEEKLY LANE CLOSURES REPORT JUNE 25 TO JULY 1
Closures on Water Crossings, Interstates, and Other Notable Detours

NOTE: This list covers full closures of interstates, ramps, bridges and primary roads, and lane closures at the bridge-tunnels and the Berkley, Coleman, High Rise and James River bridges. 

*Scheduled closures are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.*

Bridge and Tunnels: 

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, I-64:

 - Single-lane closure westbound June 27 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
 - Single-lane closure eastbound June 28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
 - Mobile, single-lane closure westbound June 28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, I-664:

 - Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures southbound June 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
 - Alternating, single-lane closures southbound June 26-29 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., including brief, intermittent stoppages starting at 11:59 p.m.

Berkley Bridge, I-264:

 - Full-closure of I-264 east near Waterside Drive/St. Paul’s Boulevard (exit 9) June 26-29 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.  
 - Alternating, single-lane closures eastbound June 26 and June 28-30 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

James River Bridge, Route 17:

- Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures in both directions June 25 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Single-lane closures southbound June 26 and June 28-29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Elizabeth River Tunnels (Downtown/Midtown Tunnels):

- Go to Elizabeth River Tunnels for maintenance schedules on the Downtown Tunnel (I-264), Midtown Tunnel (U.S. 58) and MLK Expressway (Route 164).

I-64, Southside Widening, High Rise Bridge Expansion:

I-64, Express Lanes:

- Full closure in both directions:
          - June 26-29 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
          - June 28-29 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

I-64, Virginia Beach:

- Triple-lane closures on I-64 west near Indian River Road (exit 286) June 29 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., with brief, intermittent stoppages starting at 11 p.m.

I-64, James City County:

- Full, alternating closures of the following ramps June 25 to July 1 from as early as 7 p.m. to as late as 10 a.m.:
          - Off-ramp from I-64 east to Old Stage Road (exit 227)
          - On-ramp from Old Stage Road to I-64 east
          - Off-ramp from I-64 east to Croaker Road (exit 231B)
          - On-ramp from Croaker Road to I-64 east
