HAMPTON ROADS WEEKLY LANE CLOSURES REPORT SEPTEMBER 24-30
HAMPTON ROADS CLOSURES ON WATER CROSSINGS, INTERSTATES AND OTHER NOTABLE DETOURS
For the week of Sept. 24-30
NOTE: This list covers full closures of interstates, ramps, bridges and primary roads, and lane closures at the bridge-tunnels and the Berkley, Coleman, High Rise and James River bridges.
*Scheduled closures are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.*

Bridges and Tunnels:
Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, I-64:
• Brief, intermittent stoppages westbound Sept. 25-28 from 11-11:30 p.m.
• Single-lane closures eastbound Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Single-lane closures westbound Sept. 27 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Mobile, single-lane closures westbound Sept. 28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, I-664:
• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures northbound Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
James River Bridge, Route 17:
• Brief, intermittent stoppages in both directions Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Elizabeth River Tunnels (Downtown/Midtown Tunnels):
• Go to Elizabeth River Tunnels for maintenance schedules on the Downtown Tunnel (I-264), Midtown Tunnel (U.S. 58) and MLK Expressway (Route 164).
I-64, Southside Widening, High Rise Bridge Expansion:

Hampton:
• Full closure of the off-ramp from I-64 east to Rip Rap Road (exit 265C) Sept. 24 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. View the full traffic alert here.
• Full closure of the on-ramp from Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road to I-64 east Sept. 24-26 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. View the full traffic alert here.
• Full closure of the on-ramp from Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road to I-64 west Sept. 27-28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. View the full traffic alert here.
• Long-term, continuous single-lane closure on I-64 in both directions, reducing travel lanes from three to two lanes between Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road (exit 267) and LaSalle Avenue (exit 265), with I-64 west traffic shifted to the I-64 east lanes. View the full traffic alert here.
Norfolk, Reversible Roadway:
• Full closure in both directions:
• Sept. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Sept. 28 from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
I-564, Norfolk:
• Full closure of the off-ramp from I-564 east to Granby Street Sept. 26-28 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Other Notable Closures:
• Full closure of the on-and off-ramps to/from the Western Freeway (Route 164) west from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.:
• West Norfolk Road Sept. 24-27
• Virginia International Gateway Boulevard Sept. 28-29
• Full closure of the on-and off-ramps to/from the Western Freeway (Route 164) east to from Virginia International Gateway Boulevard Sept. 26-28 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Consecutive closure of the left-turn lane on westbound Laskin Road at the Hilltop Plaza Shopping Center starting as early as Sunday, Sept. 24, for approximately three days.
