ROUTE 634 (OLD FORTY ROAD) BRIDGE REPAIRS OVER ASSAMOOSICK SWAMP COMPLETE
Route 634 reopened to all traffic, detour lifted
SUSSEX COUNTY – All lanes have reopened on Route 634 (Old Forty Road) in Sussex County following the completion of necessary repairs to the bridge over Assamoosick Swamp.
Crews from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) concluded work that began earlier this month on the substructure of the bridge needed to extend its lifespan.
