ROUTE 641 BRIDGE SUPERSTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT COMPLETED IN ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY
Route 641 open to traffic, detour lifted
ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY– As of April 27, Route 641 (Harvest Drive) near Route 653 (Glen Haven
Drive) is open to traffic following the completion of a bridge superstructure replacement project over
Kingsale Swamp in Isle of Wight County.
VDOT crews completed superstructure work that extends the lifespan of the bridge, including
replacement of the steel beams, timber bridge deck and asphalt.
The bridge work began earlier this month, and the project was completed on schedule.
