PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING DATE SET FOR PITTSYLVANIA CO. ROUTE 29 ARTERIAL MANAGEMENT PLAN
Public invited to learn more about potential investments along Corridor
LYNCHBURG —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a Citizen Information Meeting on November 14, 2019 to present the concepts and strategies for potential corridor improvements on the 50-mile Route 29 corridor from the City of Danville to the City of Lynchburg which will enhance safety and capacity along the corridor while balancing the needs of economic development and access management.
The meeting will be held at VDOT’s Chatham Office, 19281 US 29 Highway, Chatham VA 24531 from 4 pm to 6 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to give citizens an opportunity to learn more about the plan, meet with VDOT representatives and provide input. These meetings will be held in open-house format and no formals presentations will be made.
Citizens may provide oral and written comments at the meeting or submit them by November 24, to Rick Youngblood VDOT District Planner, 4219 Campbell Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24501 or via email to rick.youngblood@VDOT.Virginia.gov.
