SECTION OF ROUTE 58E/29N TO CLOSE IN OVERNIGHT HOURS IN PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY
Due to Paving Operations
LYNCHBURG, Va. - A section of Route 58 East/Route 29 North in Pittsylvania County will be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday night, 6/4/23, to Monday morning, 6/5/23, and possibly again on Monday night, 6/5/23, to Tuesday morning, 6/6/23. This is due to needed paving operations on the Danville Bypass. The work is weather permitting.
A detour will be established, which will send Route 58 East/Route 29 North traffic at Route 29 Bus south on Route 29 into North Carolina. Traffic will exit onto Route 700 (Shady Grove Road), turn left, and head north on Route 29 before exiting on to Route 58 East/Route 29 North, a distance of 3.5 miles.
