Work to be conducted on Martin St. Bridge 8/4/23-8/8/23 and 8/11/23-8/15/23

LYNCHBURG – Motorists should expect delays due to bridge repairs on Route 460 West/ Route 29 South over Martin Street (Route 677) in Lynchburg from 7 p.m. on Friday, August 4 through 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8 - and again from 7 p.m. on Friday, August 11 through 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15. These closures are due to necessary milling and paving work on the bridge surface.

Only one lane will be closed at a time, beginning with the right lane on August 4. Once the right lane is finished, work will move to the left lane, on August 11. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time during the listed construction periods, or find an alternate route.
