Temporary Road Closure on Route 608 in Prince Edward County
Due to debris removal
Route 608 will close between Route 651 and Route 683 during daytime hours 7/31-8/11
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Motorists should expect delays due to debris removal on Route 608 in Prince Edward County. Route 608 (First Rock Road) will be closed temporarily from Route 651 (Chinquapin Road) to Route 683 (Saw Mill Road). The closures will run daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning July 31 and ending on approximately August 11.
The Department of Transportation will provide adequate signs for the closure and detour, which will use Route 683 (Saw Mill Road) to Route 15 (James Madison Highway) to Route 460 and back to Route 608 (First Rock Road).
