Temporary Closure of Route 7 Shared-Use Path between Reston Avenue and Reston Parkway
Crews performing utility work in the VDOT right of way

FAIRFAX - Beginning on or about Nov. 18 and continuing into April 2020, the VDOT right of way, including the shared-use path along eastbound Route 7 between Reston Avenue and Reston Parkway and a short portion of the path along Reston Parkway southbound, will be closed to pedestrian and cyclist traffic. The path will be closed while crews perform utility work and earthwork in this location.

The shared-use path is expected to reopen in April 2020 in a temporary configuration until the permanent path is constructed.

Public safety is a core value of VDOT - please be alert to work zone signs and barriers, and refrain from entering work zones.

Please note crews are only working within VDOT right of way. Work on private property along the corridor will not start until right are acquired from property owners.
