Traffic Stoppages Planned on I-66 East and West Near Blake Lane During Overnight Hours Thursday, Nov. 7
Cox Communications Overhead Line Work to Occur
FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages and lane closures are planned for I-66 East and West during overnight hours Thursday, Nov. 7, so that Cox Communications can work on overhead lines near Blake Lane. Traffic on I-66 will be periodically stopped in both directions for up to 20 minutes to accommodate the work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Thursday, Nov. 7
I-66 East between Route 123 and Blake Lane
I-66 West between Cedar Lane and Blake Lane
- Three lanes will be closed on I-66 East between Route 123 and Blake Lane between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Three lanes will be closed on I-66 West between Cedar Lane and Blake Lane between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m. in both directions of I-66 between Route 123 and Cedar Lane.
All work is weather dependent, and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
