Traffic Stoppages Planned on I-66 East and West Near Waples Mill Road During Overnight Hours Monday, Oct. 28, through Wednesday, Oct. 30
Cox Communications Overhead Line Work to Occur
FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages and lane closures are planned for I-66 East and West during the overnight hours of Monday, Oct. 28, through Wednesday, Oct. 30, so that Cox Communications can relocate overhead cable conduit at Waples Mill Road. Traffic on I-66 will be periodically stopped in both directions for up to 20 minutes to accommodate this work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Details include:
Monday, Oct. 28, through Wednesday, Oct. 30
I-66 East and West between Monument Drive and Route 123
- Three lanes will be closed on I-66 West between Route 123 and Waples Mill Road between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Three lanes will be closed on I-66 East between Monument Drive and Waples Mill Road between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m. in both directions on I-66 between Route 123 and Monument Drive.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
