Hunter Mill Road Bridge over Colvin Run in Vienna Closed February 28 - March 2
Detour in place during bridge repairs; weight limit will be posted 10 tons
VIENNA – Hunter Mill Road between Chamberlain Drive and Mt Sunapee Road will be closed to through traffic from 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 2 to repair the bridge over Colvin Run, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Once reopened, the weight limit of the bridge will be posted at 10 tons.
Residents within the closure area and emergency vehicles will have access to the closed portion of Hunter Mill Road; however, they will not be able to cross the bridge in either direction while work is performed.
Through traffic will be detoured via
- Northbound Hunter Mill Road: Sunset Hills Road, Wiehle Avenue, Baron Cameron Avenue, back to Hunter Mill Road.
- Southbound Hunter Mill Road: Baron Cameron Avenue, Wiehle Avenue, Sunset Hills Road, back to Hunter Mill Road.
