Overnight 30-Minute Traffic Stoppages, Lane Closures on I-66 West near Vienna Metrorail Station Continue Tonight, Next Week for Vaden Drive Bridge Work
FAIRFAX – Overnight lane closures and stoppages of up to 30 minutes on I-66 West near the Vienna Metrorail Station will continue tonight, Friday, June 26, and from Sunday night, June 28, through Wednesday night, July 1, for bridge beam installation for the new Vaden Drive Bridge. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Drivers should expect delays if traveling in this area during these times and should consider using alternate routes.
Details include:
Friday, June 26
I-66 West from Cedar Lane to west of Vaden Drive
- I-66 West will be reduced to one travel lane approaching Vaden Drive near the Vienna Metrorail Station Friday night, June 26, from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m.
Sunday, June 28, through Wednesday, July 1
I-66 West from Cedar Lane to west of Vaden Drive
- I-66 West will be reduced to one travel lane approaching Vaden Drive near the Vienna Metrorail Station nightly Sunday, June 28, through Wednesday, July 1, from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
- Drivers should expect multiple 30-minute stoppages each night as crews lift bridge beams into place.
- All lanes will reopen by 4:30 a.m.
