Ramp from Route 29 Centreville to I-66 East Planned to Close During the Overnight Hours Next Week
UPDATE (5/6): Closure planned for May 6 and 7 between 9:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.

FAIRFAX – Overnight closures are planned for the ramp from Route 29 (Lee Highway) North and South to I-66 East in Centreville Monday night, May 4, through Friday night, May 8, from midnight to 4 a.m. Crews will be constructing roadway drainage as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Drivers on Route 29 South will be directed farther south past the closed exit, make a U-turn at Stone Road, follow signs to Route 28 North, then follow signs to I-66 East. Drivers on Route 29 North will be directed to Route 28 North to I-66 East, as well.

Following completion of the drainage work, the spur ramp for Route 29 North to I-66 East will reopen to traffic. This spur ramp has been closed since January while crews constructed parts of the new I-66 bridges over Route 29.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
