Traffic Stoppages Planned On I-66 East And West Near Stringfellow Road For Utility Work On Wednesday Night, July 22
FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages are planned for I-66 East and West on Wednesday, July 22, between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., so that Dominion Energy can work on overhead wires near Stringfellow Road (mm 54.9). Three full stoppages of approximately 20 minutes each are planned to occur in both directions of I-66 simultaneously to accommodate this work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Police will be on hand to aid in the coordination of the stoppages. Drivers should expect delays in the area during this work.
All work is weather dependent. Work will be rescheduled to Thursday night, July 23, if inclement conditions occur.
